In the pursuit of preserving and promoting the rich tapestry of traditional Chinese culture, with a specific focus on fostering an understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese Traditional Opera among the younger generation, we are diligently aligning our efforts with the principles outlined in various governmental directives. These directives include the "Notice on Several Policies to Support the Inheritance and Development of Traditional Opera" from the General Office of the State Council, the "Implementation Opinions of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Culture on Bringing Famous Traditional Opera Artists and Plays to Campus," and the "Implementation Opinions of the General Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province on Promoting the Inheritance and Development of Local Traditional Opera," among other pertinent documents.

Recently, the collaboration between the Shenzhen Theater and the School of Music of Shenzhen Technology University materialized in a distinctive event named "Traditional Opera into Campus." This academic lecture and performance event garnered a warm reception from both educators and students alike.

The event, sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, and the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau, saw the Shenzhen Theater as the organizer and the the School of Music of Shenzhen Technology University as the co-organizer. The event was structured into four components: a historical and costume exhibition of traditional Traditional Opera, an appreciation of Traditional Opera art, live performances and interactive sessions, and live broadcasts on the Shenzhen Theater's "Traditional Opera Broadcast" platform.

Artists presented classic Kunqu Traditional Opera pieces, including "The Peony Pavilion: Garden Scene" and "Fifteen Strings: Inquiring and Testing," showcasing the captivating allure of traditional Chinese Traditional Opera art. Beyond the performances, artists provided comprehensive explanations to students and teachers regarding the fundamental aspects, historical context, and performance techniques of various Traditional Operas, enhancing their understanding of traditional Traditional Opera art. Students were also actively engaged in interactive sessions, where they were taught basic Traditional Opera movements and vocal techniques, providing them with a firsthand experience of the enchantment of Traditional Opera performance.

Subsequently, during the academic exchange symposium, representatives from the Shenzhen Theater and the School of Music delved into profound discussions on the imperative topic of "Bringing Traditional Opera into the Campus."   The symposium served as a platform for both parties to fervently discuss the current status, challenges, and future development strategies of traditional Traditional Opera art within the academic domain.   Deputy Dean Zhi Hui of the School of Music emphasized the precious cultural heritage embodied in traditional Traditional Opera art and acknowledged the necessity of enhancing its popularity and influence, especially within the contemporary campus setting.   Consequently, integrating traditional Traditional Opera into the academic curriculum is perceived as an indispensable measure to uphold and develop the excellence of traditional Chinese culture, amplify the reach and impact of Chinese civilization, and contribute to the flourishing development of socialist literary and artistic endeavors.

Representatives from the Shenzhen Theater echoed the significance of promoting traditional Traditional Opera art within the academic sphere. The integration of traditional Traditional Opera into the curriculum not only enriches students' artistic education but also plays a crucial role in aiding students in understanding and preserving the profound traditions of Chinese culture. The discussions also extended to strategizing how to seamlessly integrate traditional Traditional Opera art with music education and elevate the overall teaching quality of traditional Traditional Opera within the campus.

The overarching objective of the "Bringing Traditional Opera into the Campus" initiative is to provide young individuals with a nuanced understanding and appreciation of our country's esteemed traditional culture, nurturing their interest and affection for traditional Traditional Opera art. Post-event reflections from students revealed a heightened appreciation and comprehension of the intrinsic beauty of traditional Chinese Traditional Opera art.

As part of the ongoing commitment to this cause, the Shenzhen Theater plans to continue its collaboration with schools across the city, introducing more exemplary Traditional Opera works to campuses. This initiative endeavors to offer more young individuals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of traditional Traditional Opera art and actively contribute to the promotion of national culture.
